Our festival returns with a series of free online activities to accompany cherry blossom viewing at Steveston’s Garry Point Park, featuring 255 stunning Akebono sakura trees. Watch exclusive live musical performances and enjoy traditional Japanese cultural activities. From April 10, take in the festivities from the comfort of your home OR scan QR codes from your smartphone as you tour our event kiosks at Garry Point Park. This year’s festival theme is kizuna, which means the enduring bonds between people. It’s a timely reminder that we are all in it together, as it is through strength of friendship and camaraderie that the country has been able to navigate the global pandemic.
